Audition Downloads


Audition materials for A ROCKIN ROYAL CHRISTMAS are now available.  The files are on Google Drive and organized by role.  Please download ALL files within the folder for the character/role that you/r child is interested in.  


Roles and requirements of each role:



STORYTELLER: (Acts/Sings) A lead role. A modern-day charming, witty, and thought-provoking girl or boy. Storyteller leads the cast and audience on this journey back in time. 

HEROD: (Acts/Sings) Comedic cameo role. Older boy or “pants role” if a girl. A raging, reigning King Herod in biblical attire. A great opportunity to act a little zany and crazy. Sings/sing-speaks a few solo lines in Bring Them To Me. 

SHERLOCK WATSON: (Acts/Sings) A lead role. The eager, young investigator hired by Herod to find out why the wise men never returned and where King Jesus is. Sings solo with choir on Bring them to Me and I Have Decided. 

LIBRARIAN: (Acts/Sings*) A principal role.  A proper, rule-following young librarian who tries to keep order in the Bethlehem Public Library. *Possible soloist in Take a Look Inside 

 NATIVITY CHARACTERS: 
    3 SHEPHERDS: (Act/Sing) Boys or girls. Great parts for younger students 
    3 ANGELS: (Act/ Sing) Boys or Girls.  Great parts for younger students 
    3 WISE MEN: (Act only) Boys or girls. Great parts for younger students 
    VINNY (Innkeeper): (Sings only) Boy. Any age 
    INNKEEPER’S WIFE: (Sings only) Girl. Any Age 

SOLOISTS:  This show has a TON of parts for soloists in songs! Take a Look Inside, A Wise Man’s Life for Me, A Higher Calling.  (When auditioning, you will sing all three songs.) 

READERS:  Kids #1-4 who help deliver Gospel narration 

DANCE: Dance parts are To Be Determined… Mrs. Belloni is choreographing this year.  Dance audition will be held at lunch recess one day in October, date TBD. 

NON SPEAKING ROLES: (No audition materials to download)
    Herod’s servants, Mary and Joseph, Isaiah the Prophet 

STAGE CREW ROLES (No audition materials to download)
STAGE MANAGER:  Open to 6th graders only -- Candidates should be extremely responsible and mature, excellent at taking notes, and show problem solving skills and leadership.  As the head of the stage crew team, this candidate is Mrs. B's eyes, ears, and voice backstage.  Must be able to delegate tasks  to other crew, but still willing to be a team player to get the "job done."  Stage crew attends an average of 4 lunchtime rehearsals each week starting in November.
PROPS MANAGER:  Open to 6th graders only -- Candidates should be extremely responsible and mature, excellent at taking notes, and show problem solving skills and leadership.  Responsible for the care and keeping of all props used by actors.  Stage crew attends an average of 4 lunchtime rehearsals each week starting in November.
LIGHTING/AV MANAGER:  Open to 6th graders only -- Candidates should be extremely responsible and mature, excellent at taking notes, and show problem solving skills and leadership.  Responsible for specific lighting tasks and operating AV for projection.  Stage crew attends an average of 4 lunchtime rehearsals each week starting in November.
CURTAIN MANAGER (if needed):  Open to 6th graders only -- Candidates should be extremely responsible and mature, excellent at taking notes, and show problem solving skills and leadership.  Responsible for the opening and closing of the curtain for scene changes as well as other tasks as needed.  Stage crew attends an average of 4 lunchtime rehearsals each week starting in November.
